Graduate Certificate in Taxation and Financial Planning
Program Details The Graduate Certificate in Taxation and Financial Planning examines some of the core taxation, legal and business issues in the area of financial planning and personal wealth accumulation.
The Graduate Certificate in Taxation and Financial Planning requires students to undertake only four courses and generally require coursework assignments rather than undertaking the research and sustained writing of research papers in the Masters programs.
Program Structure In the Graduate Certificate in Taxation and Financial Planning program, students must complete 4 courses (24 units of credit). All four courses are compulsory.
Students study the taxation courses through the Australian School of Taxation and finance courses through the Australian School of Business.
The duration of the program is 1 year part time.
A candidate may articulate from the Graduate Certificate in Taxation and Financial Planning into the Graduate Diploma or Master of Taxation and Financial Planning.
Professional Recognition Students who are members of CPA Australia, The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia (ICAA), and qualified lawyers may have both Award and Non-Award study with Atax recognised towards their Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Continuing Professional Education (CPE) and Continuing Legal Education (CLE) membership requirements respectively.
