Flexible Study Options

When you study with Atax, you will have the flexibility to manage the competing priorities in your life. Atax study can be tailored to suit your learning style, whether you attend weekly classes, study independently by flexible distance mode or choose to do a bit of both.

Atax lets you get the balance right for you.

Flexible distance

Flexible distance allows our students to study from anywhere in Australia and across the globe. Some of our students choose flexible distance because they travel frequently or work long hours. Other students choose it because they are managing multiple priorities in their lives. Many students study by flexible distance because it's the way they like to study - at their own pace, in their own time.

Features of flexible distance include:

  • Comprehensive Study Materials

  • Audio Conferences (transcripts can also be downloaded as audio files)

  • Regional Classes – 1 day class held per semester/course in major metro centres across Australia

  • My eLearning Vista (not available to continuing education students)

  • Superior levels of academic support

Face to face evening classes – Sydney CBD

Our Sydney CBD classes are small so our students can benefit from our stimulating and interactive learning environment. These face to face classes are usually held Monday - Thursday evenings, 6pm - 8pm. They are held at AGSM, 1 O'Connell Street, Sydney. Four to five courses are usually delivered by this mode each semester.

Intensive courses

Intensive courses allow students to fast-track their studies by completing the required coursework in just five days. They have the freedom to focus on their studies over an intensive period. Two intensives are currently offered per semester. A variety of speakers, experts on specific topic areas, join the course convener in delivering the intensive courses.

Note: Intensive courses are not offered to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Taxation or Graduate Diploma in Taxation Studies.
