An Audio Conference links the course lecturer with students from around Australia (and often overseas) via a telephone hook-up. It gives students the opportunity to discuss and debate topics and question their lecturer about issues in the course.
Audio Conferences are usually held 4 times per course and students are able to dial in directly to the audio conference.
Procedure
When dialing in for an Audio Conference, you will be required to dial the telephone number followed by a PIN. The telephone number and PIN is listed on the Audio Conference Timetable in your Study Materials.
The procedure is as follows:
1. Dial the telephone number (including STD code, if required). It will ring three times.
2. Wait for two beeps. Enter PIN.
3. A single long tone indicates you have successfully joined the Audio Conference.
Please note there is no recorded message. If you do not enter the PIN after the two beeps, you will get a second and a third opportunity (repeated two beeps). If you do not enter the PIN after the third set of beeps, you will have to dial again.
If students experience difficulties dialling in, please contact Faculty of Law Student Services Office on 02 9385 2227.
