Previous Positions
Gordon has over 30 years experience in taxation of financial services, superannuation, funds management and corporate taxation. He has taxation experience in the UK, US, New Zealand and a number of South East Asian countries. In addition, he was previously Group Taxation Manager for AMP Ltd and before that headed their technical retirement planning area.

 

Awards and Achievements
Gordon was previously Deputy Chair, IFSA Tax Committee and was President of Taxpayers Association (now Taxpayers Australia). He was also a member of the tax committee of several organisations, including Property Council of Australia, ASFA and BCA.

Gordon has prepared reports to the ATO on Australian corporate finance and prepared submission to Government on finance and superannuation taxation.

Other
Gordon has prepared and presented submissions to Government on behalf of many industry bodies and corporates in the financial services sector, on superannuation, corporate and international taxation. He has also presented to a number of Senate Standing Committees the most recent being on taxing overseas superannuation when repatriated to Australia. He has advised the Chinese Government on infrastructure financing, taught the Thai Judiciary about international taxation, and written the audit module on large business taxation.
