The GST & Indirect Tax
Weekend Workshop has now been run for the 19th consecutive
year. It again brought together leading practitioners
in the field including those from prominent government
agencies, private organisations and top tier firms to
discuss and compare contemporary issues and research
in GST and indirect tax.
| This year invited
overwhelming interest from speakers, some who
had presented before as well as some new faces.
There were a total of 20 papers presented and
4 panel sessions plus the welcoming address and
close. This presented some challenges in time
keeping with lively discussion commanding more
time as issues were well debated. The participation
of everyone in attendance certainly contributed
to the success of the event. |

Workshop |
The size of the delegation increased this year and the
feedback received promised many return delegates next
year.
The collegiality amongst the
group was well recognised by many delegates and as a
consequence, the event continues to successfully function
as an event during which delegates can share ideas and
challenge thinking.
We look forward to seeing you all again next year at
an event that will review and look beyond the developments
in the GST and indirect tax field over the next 12 months.
