On 8 September 2008 the UNSW Law Journal launched its annual Thematic Issue with an address by former High Court Justice Ian Callinan AC.

A new high level technical program for SMSF professionals launched
The Australian School of Taxation (Atax) at UNSW, in conjunction with the School of Law and the Australian School of Business launched the Master of Taxation and Financial Planning on 2 October at the Sydney offices of the Investment & Financial Services Association.
